About Connoisseur Wine School
Connoisseur Wine School developed the One Day Saturday,
Introductory, Intermediate and Special Tastings to help you broaden
your knowledge, boost your confidence, find your wine preferences
and make wine friends.
The courses are run in central London
at The Bloomsbury St Hotel in small groups of 18 - 20. They are
relaxed, informal, interactive and fun but at the same time
informative. Our experienced, well travelled, professional lecturers
are passionate about wine and are all currently involved in the wine
trade.
We can organise tailor-made courses or tastings for a group of
friends or colleagues and you can purchase gift vouchers for our
events
Weekend wine courses are run on Saturdays and are designed for those of you who cannot commit to the mid-week courses or are coming from outside London.
Saturday Basic Wine Course
This wine course is grape variety based and deals with all the
issues connected with wine.
Time: 11am - 5 pm with 1 hour lunch
break (lunch not included).
Wines: 14 high quality, representative
wines of different styles and grape varieties from around the world.
Topics: what is wine, how is it made,
styles of wine, grape varieties, how to
taste wine,
wine's ability to mature, faults in wines, serving wines and
matching food and wine and choosing wines in shops and restaurants.

Saturday Advanced Wine Course
This wine course is wine region based and it is a trip around the
world to classic wine growing regions.
Time: 11am - 5 pm with 1 hour lunch
break (lunch not included).
Wines: 14 high quality, representative
wine of different styles and grape varieties from around the world.
Topics: what is wine, styles of wines,
how to taste
wine, New World vs Old World wine, classic wine regions of
Europe, both Americas, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Evening Wine Courses
Evening mid-week evening wine courses are the perfect in-depth
courses for any wine lover. 5 Evening Introductory Wine Course
